Job Title: CCTV Supervisor (Trainer)
Job Summary:
The CCTV Supervisor (Trainer) is responsible for overseeing CCTV operations and training staff in the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of CCTV systems. This role includes designing training modules, supervising day-to-day surveillance activities, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and mentoring trainees or junior technicians to ensure technical proficiency and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training & Development:
- Develop and deliver training programs for CCTV operators, technicians, and support staff.
- Conduct hands-on workshops covering installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational use of CCTV equipment.
- Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Supervision & Monitoring:
- Supervise CCTV operators to ensure continuous and effective monitoring of surveillance feeds.
- Ensure CCTV systems are functioning correctly and efficiently at all times.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of CCTV systems and logs.
- Technical Oversight:
- Guide technicians on CCTV system installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Oversee troubleshooting and maintenance of cameras, DVRs/NVRs, network setups, and control rooms.
- Recommend improvements or replacements in hardware and software as needed.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all operations adhere to data protection laws, security protocols, and company policies.
- Maintain records of CCTV footage, incidents, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Assist in the development of SOPs for CCTV operations and emergency response.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/ITI/Certification in Electronics, Electrical, IT, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in CCTV system management, with at least 1 year in a training or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of various CCTV technologies (Analog, IP, wireless), access control systems, and security software.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of CCTV systems and network configurations.
- Ability to train and mentor staff effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with security and surveillance protocols.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Documentation and report-writing skills.
Work Environment:
- Indoor office and control room settings.
- Occasional field visits for site inspections or training.
- May require flexible working hours depending on training or monitoring shifts.
