Transport Commissioner Kinjal Singh suspended four transport department officials:

  2. Amit Verma
  3. Sharda Mishra
  4. Shivkumar Mishra
A departmental inquiry has been ordered to examine possible negligence in monitoring school transport vehicles.
Shocking Details From the Investigation
Preliminary findings from the investigation revealed several alarming facts:
  1. The bus had reportedly been operating for nearly 14 years without a valid permit or registration.
  2. The floor of the vehicle was damaged and structurally unsafe.
  3. Regular inspection drives against school buses had not been conducted for a long time.
These lapses allowed the unsafe vehicle to remain on the road despite posing a serious risk to students.
Driver Arrested, School Faces Action
Police have arrested the bus driver, identified as Narendra, for alleged negligent driving.
Authorities also took action against the school administration. The recognition of the school has reportedly been cancelled up to Class 10 due to violations related to student safety and transport compliance.
