Scope of Work

The scope covers the supply and delivery of integrated desk and bench furniture for 384 government schools in Mainpuri district. The supplier must deliver the material in good condition, obtain receiving certification from the concerned school in-charge, and submit the same at the POWERGRID Ghiror office. The product must be durable, comfortable, ergonomic, and suitable for school students, with strong MS tubular structure and laminated seating/writing surfaces.

The desk and bench specifications include mild steel frame, powder-coated finish, 18 mm MDF/particle board, mica finish, storage shelf, modesty panel, bench backrest, safe edges, smooth welding, stable structure, proper paint finish, and one-year warranty. POWERGRID may also undertake factory visit/inspection during fabrication/assembly, with random inspection of one unit out of every 500.

Pre-Qualification and Eligibility Criteria

The tender is open to eligible firms, companies, and government-owned enterprises registered and incorporated in India. Government departments, foreign bidders/MNCs not registered in India, and bidders banned by POWERGRID are not eligible. Joint Venture bids are not accepted; the bid must be submitted by an individual firm.

The bidder may be an OEM/manufacturer of desk and bench furniture, an authorized dealer, or an authorized representative of the manufacturer. If the bidder is an authorized dealer or representative, a valid authorization/dealership certificate from the manufacturer must be submitted.

Technical Experience Criteria

The bidder must have successfully completed similar work during the seven years immediately preceding the original bid submission date. “Similar work” is defined as supply of furniture — desk and bench. The bidder must meet any one of the following experience criteria:

Submission Guidelines

Bids must be submitted through the GeM portal in two-packet format. The first envelope will contain the techno-commercial bid, and the price bid of only technically qualified bidders will be opened later. Bidders must not mention price elements in the technical bid; doing so may lead to rejection as non-responsive.

Bidders must upload signed scope of work/product specification/drawing documents. The bid-specific terms also state that the scope of work and product specifications attached in the ATC will supersede the GeM golden parameters in case of conflict.
