Tender Brief Empanelment Opportunity: Transforming India’s Textile Workforce
Tender Description The Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, invites proposals under the Samarth Scheme for Capacity Building in Textile Sector (SCBTS). This initiative is aimed at empowering India’s textile industry by bridging the skill gap across the entire value chain, excluding spinning and weaving. Implementing Partners (IPs) from industry, associations, and government agencies are welcome to participate.
Pre-Qualification Criteria

 Highlights of the Scheme

  • Objective: Placement-oriented skilling in mainstream textiles, traditional crafts, and technical textiles, creating jobs and upgrading skills in diverse sectors like handlooms, jute, silk, and handicrafts.
  • Scope: Training 3 lakh individuals across India by March 2026 with a focus on marginalized groups, including women, SC/ST, and differently-abled individuals.

  • Commitment to training and placing at least 70% of certified trainees.
