The Basic Tailoring Training Program is a transformative project designed to equip women with essential tailoring skills and provide them with sewing machines, paving their way to sustainable livelihoods.
Pre-Qualification Criteria

This innovative project, with a budget of ₹114.43 crores, is set to:

  • Train 45,772 EWS women beneficiaries in tailoring skills.
  • Distribute sewing machines to all trained beneficiaries for free, enabling immediate application of skills.
  • Target beneficiaries from diverse communities like Kamma, Reddy, Kshatriya, Arya Vysya, and Brahmin, fostering inclusive growth.

What Makes This Initiative Unique?

  1. Localized Training for Maximum Impact
    Training sessions are planned at the district and constituency levels, ensuring accessibility for beneficiaries across Andhra Pradesh.

    • Flexible durations of 45, 60, or 90 days with a total of 360 hours of training.
    • Curriculum includes technical skills (stitching, machine maintenance) and soft skills (financial literacy, entrepreneurship).
  2. Comprehensive Support

    • Training materials, including cloth, scissors, thread, and machines, are provided.
    • Post-training distribution of tailor-model sewing machines ensures beneficiaries can immediately start generating income.

    • Training centers will be fully equipped with infrastructure, furniture, and sanitation.
    • Experienced women trainers will deliver the courses, enhancing relatability and inspiration.
