Scope of Work
The selected agency will be responsible for providing catering and canteen services at the Regional Institute of English, South India, Bengaluru, for training, workshop and capacity building programs.
The major scope includes:
- Providing canteen services at RIESI, Jnanabharathi Campus, Bengaluru.
- Preparing and serving food in the existing setup of the Working Women Hostel’s Canteen.
- Serving breakfast, tea/coffee, lunch, evening tea/coffee and dinner as per the standard menu.
- Providing unlimited food as specified in the menu, subject to limited items mentioned in the RFP.
- Serving food at 2 to 3 places depending on the number of participants and training programs.
- Deploying sufficient staff to ensure smooth service from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
- Using FSSAI-certified ingredients and maintaining quality standards.
- Ensuring hygienic cooking, serving, cleaning, vessel washing and waste disposal.
- Providing purified drinking water and liquid hand wash at the time of food service.
- Preparing vegetarian and non-vegetarian food separately.
- Arranging additional utensils and equipment, wherever required, at the bidder’s own cost.
- Ensuring food testing by participants/staff before service and preparing alternative food immediately at the bidder’s own cost if food is found unsatisfactory.
- Paying ₹15,000 per month towards electricity, water and maintenance. When no training programs are conducted for a full month, rent will be payable at ₹500 per day for the actual number of program days.
- Starting catering services within 15 days from the date of work order.
Pre-Qualification / Eligibility Criteria
Interested bidders must meet the eligibility and technical requirements stated in the tender document. Key requirements include:
- The bidder must be an eligible service provider meeting the RFP criteria.
- Joint ventures, consortiums and NGOs are not allowed for this tender.
- The bidder must hold a valid FSSAI registration certificate.
- The bidder must have GST registration and PAN.
- The bidder must submit valid registration certificate issued by competent authority or partnership deed, as applicable.
- The bidder must not be blacklisted or de-registered by any Government, quasi-government or other organization.
- The bidder must not be under a declaration of ineligibility for corrupt or fraudulent practices by the Government of Karnataka.
- Bidders from countries sharing a land border with India must comply with competent authority registration requirements.
- The bidder must submit ESI and EPF registration certificate and copy of returns filed for the last financial year.
- The bidder must submit a detailed work plan and methodology for canteen maintenance, hygienic food preparation, staff dress code and personal hygiene of staff.

Bidders must submit their proposals online through the Karnataka Public Procurement Portal only. Physical submission of documents will not be accepted. All technical documents must be uploaded before the tender due date and time.

- Technical and financial bids must be submitted under the two-cover system.
- Financial rates must be quoted only on the Karnataka Public Procurement Portal.
- The quoted rate must be inclusive of all taxes.

- Queries sent by email, letter or any other mode will not be entertained.
